UPS ditches Paul Rand’s logo
New York design company FutureBrand is in the middle of re-branding package-delivery giant UPS. Paul Rand’s famous 1960 UPS logo design is gone for good. The new one is a little bevel/gradient-happy I haven’t made up my mind whether or not this will stand the test of time that Rand’s logo did, but they won’t have the entire company changed to the new look until 2009, so I guess we’ll have to wait and see.
