Save your pennies

Is Apple working on a dual-processor version of their 17-inch PowerBook? Details suggest usage of IBM’s new PPC 970 chip (should be faster, cooler, cheaper). I’ve been waiting for Apple to release their 15-inch PowerBooks with the new aluminum styling and additional tech that the new 12- and 17-inch ’Books have, but if there truly is a dual-processor PowerBook in the works, I may just have to hold out — imagine that, a truly powerful desktop replacement. Makes you wonder if they’ve got quads in the works for their PowerMac line. We can dream, can’t we.
